You knew it was coming. It started a few years back with Tory Burch, which was suddenly so ubiquitous you could practically buy reva flats at the gas station with your fill up. Oh yes, preppy is back. Some would argue it never went away. Need to brush up on your prep? No worries. Check out this list from Flavorwire of the Top 40 Culturally Relevant preppies. I love that they have Zach Morris as number one, ahead of Tory, JFK and Lilly Pulitzer.
The new season of Mad Men starts tonight and in a flash of brilliance NY Mag’s The Cut has put together a gorgeous slideshow of Mad Men inspired looks. My favorite is this little Phillip Lim number featured in the intro below. Click here to watch the full slideshow. Forever 21 has been in the news lately thanks to the opening of a 90,000+ square foot flagship location in NYC. Reports indicate the place has been a total mob scene. Who would go there? We want our cheap knock-offs without having to listening to blaring music and fight teenage crowds. Shop on this thing called the interweb (good news you are already on it!).

It’s been a while since I have been obsessed with a bag. Not since I got my PS1 bag, have I had an “I have to have it,” feeling about a bag, but I’ve got a new love now. Confounding name aside (it’s meant to evoke the market, not a grubby hotel), I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these babies.

Seriously. Lands’ End has a new line called Canvas and it’s seriously cute. Of course this company has been around forever and their look is classic, if not a little, um, old-fashioned. This new line combines the best of two worlds, maintaining that signature preppy look but updating fit and style for a more current look. Here’s a sampling of my favorite pieces including stripey tees, boyfriend blazers, and non-ugly one pieces. Hello country club, here we come.
