Adjust-A-Button allows you to adjust the waistband on your jeans up to 1 and 1/2 inches up or down in size. I’ve been meaning to give this a try and now seems like the right time (see two previous entries on sweets). I also love the idea of this product for people how have proportionally tiny waists or to prevent muffin top with jeans that fit everywhere else. Have you tried this product? If yes, email me and let me know what you think! I just ordered from Amazon, so I will post an update once I get it and give it a whirl.
As someone who has what could pretty much be considered stick straight hair, I was very excited to see today’s daily candy which includes a video on “How to Curl Your Hair the Right Way.” Great news – all you need is a curling iron, mousse, hair memory (huh?), a hair dryer, anti-humidity spray, shine serum, extra hands and a professional stylist. That’s easy.
I guess you can’t judge a book by its preppy little cover. I just love that TB – she’s an onion. Check out this tribute to the Grateful Dead on her website.
Hair color is having a moment right now – no, not the same old little blonde highlights but official color. I think it is so freakin’ cute and if I were younger/not me I would totally do it! (I actually had pink streaks in my hair last year in a pre-wedding hair-boredom fit, but they washed out after only a couple days. Sad.)
The world is fully of whimsical girlie things. Hooray.
A flask that makes toting around your own whisky almost seem adorable. (My mom has one of these for the golf course, because you know, golf is so stressful sometimes you just need a drink.)

Why settle for the boring old business card “the man” has doled out to you, when you could get a calling card with so much more charm.
Yes, I think I do need a pink chrome iPhone case.
Stupid old blackberry. Keep your most important notes in this wish list book.
Oh so sad. My little volvo has finally bit the dust. Not only was it cute (and purple!!), but I liked the WBUR-set street cred that driving a tiny, 11 year old, fuel efficient car gave me . Alas, I will be joining the ranks of the gas guzzlers. I still plan to drive less than 3000 miles a year though, so there’s that. And really, I am not going to cry over this new ride.
RIP
It’s been going around on facebook, the “doppelganger” game or as I like to refer to it the “who would play me in a movie” game. While I usually deplore facebook games (who gives a sh*t what color your bra is?), I love this game and have been playing it for years, shockingly enough, without the aid of a social networking site. Never mind that no one would ever make a movie about me. This isn’t based in reality. Over the years I’ve shifted my choice: Meg Ryan circa 1989 (until the surgeries and she is too old), Reese Witherspoon (until she became over-exposed). Here’s the latest for me and my supporting cast.
Youthful me:
She’s cute and I like her haircut. She also seems silly and rebellious in a harmless way which about sums up me in my teens.
Adult Me:
Yes yes, I know we don’t look alike, but I love her spunk and the way her intelligence shines through in every character she plays and since it’s my movie I get to pick. Also, I have a mad crush on her real life husband. Plus we both have bangs!
Michael:
What can I say, I have a high opinion of my husband. That’s a good thing, right? And they both have graying hair (though Michael claims that was never the case until he met me, hrmph).
Chanda:
She’d never forgive me if I chose anyone else. Also she had a near perfect approximation of this haircut in the nineties and never missed an opp to remind us how like Jen she really was.
Mikey P:
Playing himself, because he is already oft mistaken for a model or actor anyway (or at least he was when he lived in the South End).
Nicolle:
Classy, smart, gorgeous redhead. Enough said.
Jeffrey:
Good looking, funny guy. Check.
Lauren:
Beautiful, talented, understated, brainy Brooklyn girl.
Andrei:
Brendan:
My Mom:
My Dad:
Directing and making a rare acting appearance. No surprise there.
