You knew it was coming. It started a few years back with Tory Burch, which was suddenly so ubiquitous you could practically buy reva flats at the gas station with your fill up. Oh yes, preppy is back. Some would argue it never went away. Need to brush up on your prep? No worries. Check out this list from Flavorwire of the Top 40 Culturally Relevant preppies. I love that they have Zach Morris as number one, ahead of Tory, JFK and Lilly Pulitzer.
Sigh. I would like to be here right now. This picture was posted by colorTheory, a Boston based interior styling firm I’ve been following on Facebook. Check ‘em out.
The new season of Mad Men starts tonight and in a flash of brilliance NY Mag’s The Cut has put together a gorgeous slideshow of Mad Men inspired looks. My favorite is this little Phillip Lim number featured in the intro below. Click here to watch the full slideshow. And look out for more styles like these for fall – adult ladylike looks are everywhere (hooray!).
I love me some Smitten Kitchen. Without a doubt my favorite food blog. Cleverly written, gorgeous photography, and with the most delectable recipes. I can’t wait to head to the farmers market and make this tomorrow.
I am going to see Kid Rock and Bon Jovi tonight. Hey, stop rolling your eyes. It’s going to be fun. Really. Here’s what I am wearing.
I’ve posted about this local and muy muy delicioso chocolate before. It seems that in the flash flood a couple weeks ago, their brand new production facility found itself under water. Please support this local company. Log onto their website to buy some chocolate and keep them afloat (pun intended). You won’t regret it! Not into chocolate? No worries you can still support this local business by buying Taza Dollars, gift certificates for their soon to be opened factory shop. You can pass them on to your loved ones. Or feel free to send them to me.
Trite, but true: A picture says a thousand words.
This Daily Candy video is a cute pick me up.
